Why This Matters
Why problem-solving and decision-making go wrong
Most failures aren't caused by bad intentions or lack of effort. They happen for two reasons:
Incomplete processes
We don't examine issues from all angles. We miss assumptions, overlook implications, ignore alternative perspectives, and jump to conclusions without sufficient evidence.
Gaps in holistic critical thinking
We're never taught how to think critically. Our reasoning is derailed by cognitive biases we don't notice, logical fallacies we can't spot, and persuasive rhetoric we can't see through.
The result? Flawed decisions, missed opportunities, and preventable mistakes — in business, in academics, and in life.
Critical thinking isn't just another skill. It's the foundational skill that makes everything else work better.
What Makes This Different
A holistic approach to critical thinking
Most programs focus on one piece of the puzzle. I take a different approach — bringing together all the elements required for clear thinking into a single, coherent framework.
The Critical Thinking Framework
A structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Examine issues from multiple perspectives, base conclusions on evidence, identify assumptions, anticipate implications.
Logical Reasoning
Deductive, inductive, causal, and analogical reasoning. Understanding how arguments work — and how they fail.
Obstacles to Clear Thinking
Cognitive biases, logical fallacies, rhetorical manipulation, and linguistic barriers. Knowing what derails thinking is half the battle.
Persuasive Communication
How to construct arguments that convince through logic and credibility, not manipulation.

Training designed for your context
For Corporate Teams
Executives and managers face complex decisions daily — vendor selection, strategic planning, performance evaluation, crisis response. My workshops equip teams with frameworks and tools to make better decisions and avoid common reasoning traps.

Critical thinking consistently ranks among the top skills employers seek. I partner with institutions to build sustainable programs — faculty development, student workshops, full credit courses, and teaching kits (textbook + PPTs + assessments).

About
A.S. Prasad
Founder, Critical Thinking Academy
I'm a management graduate from IIM Ahmedabad (1981-83). After three decades in marketing and senior management across industries — Disney character franchising, FMCG, software distribution, IT services — I developed a critical thinking course in 2013.
Since then, I've taught critical thinking to thousands of students and executives at premier institutions and corporations. I also teach Digital Marketing for B2B at IIM Indore and other institutions.
My approach is practical, not academic. Every concept is grounded in real business situations and illustrated with cases from my own experience and from the Harvard case library.
